9/23 – "Perhaps some regrets about Spanish"

23 Sep

Growing up in NY and now living in LA, I’ve very much been around Spanish speaking people all my life.   I took Spanish from about 6th grade up until my junior year in high school, and then quit.  Part of me wishes I would have stuck with it longer, and maybe even took some Spanish courses in college.

I remember a fair amount of it, but I’m far from fluent.  Had I stuck with the language longer, who knows how much it would be helping me out right now.   More importantly than actually speaking a valuable second language, Spanish is just more suave sounding than English, and well, it’s just more fun to speak, too!

In addition to a degree in Business, I have a degree in Spanish. But I’ve lost it over the years, so I hear what you’re saying. I’ve had job opportunities since then, but knew I couldn’t pass the proficiency test, so I had to go in a different direction. Great post!
