It’s a shame that it only last for a moment, but it’s always a great feeling when the gas tank has been filled and that little needle on the gauge goes up all the way. (Or whatever the gauge in your car does to tell you you’ve got a full tank, it’s great.) This moment.
I can’t think of much else that can be more satisfying to human beings.
It’s almost tragic though —- that from there in on out, the needle will never quite be at that maximum point of full tank-i-ness.
