Family Feud is a game show that’s seemingly been on TV forever, despite having many different hosts over the years. Anyway, yesterday I was watching a show that was from the Richard Karn (Al Borland) years.
The thing about playing Family Feud is that the truth/what you think to be the truth is not always going to be the best answer for the game’s survey questions. What one must do is ask himself/herself, “How would most people answer this question?”
So, it was “Fast Money” (bonus round), and I couldn’t believe how stupid one of the survey questions was.
“Name a month when babies are born”
Wtf?
I swear, that’s what Al Borland told the contestant to respond to. It wasn’t even “Name the month when most babies are born” — which I suppose would be slightly less stupid.
I mean, people tend to be more confined during the winter months, so add nine months to the winter months, and one might think the most popular months for babies being born might be September, October, and November. But then the problem is that earth has Northern and Southern Hemispheres, thus basically opposite climate. Perhaps I’m thinking too deeply about this.
Whatever. This Feud survey question was just plain moronic. “Name a month when babies are born.” Please. Why not just say, “Name a month” ? Answering that takes the same amount of thought, and gives the contestant the same odds of being successful with his/her answer.
